Cinema skyline

Cinema Skyline is an independent print publication that aims to raise appreciation for the art of cinema.

I had the pleasure of serving as Deputy Editor for Volume V, our most extensive issue to date. My responsibilities included editing and managing a team of 15 film writers while contributing both feature pieces covering the main slate for NYFF57 and a column that reports on festivals that showcase work from female identifying filmmakers in the New York City area. Additionally, my role required strategizing our publication cycle through deadline management, communication, and conflict resolution to meet our publishing goals.

Cinema Skyline –
Volume V

Cinema Skyline Volume V is our most extensive to date. Volume V presents comprehensive coverage of the 57th New York Film Festival, where you can certainly anticipate a variety of Main Slate feature selections. However, with this issue we were passionate about dedicating a number of pages to the festival’s Encore screenings, Revivals and Projections sidebars. Additionally, Volume V contains a requisite cover piece on Bong Joon-ho’s Parasite, rep reports on The Lighthouse, Joker, and Ad Astra, and a lengthy section dedicated to memorializing the everlasting legacy of Agnès Varda as seen through her NYFF appearances and through her final film, Varda by Agnès.
